RC Helicopter which is also known as Remote Control Helicopter which is only a toy about which you have to be told in this article like What is Remote Control Helicopter, How Remote Control Helicopter Works, Parts of Remote Control Helicopter And where and for what purpose the remote control helicopter is used.
What is remote control helicopter :
Remote Control Helicopter is a gadget that is controlled with the help of a remote and is flown in the air. Remote control helicopters came even before the creation of drones and were quite popular because at that time only durable flying gadget helicopters used to be. Remote Control Helicopter is flown with the help of the same remote that is given with the helicopter and the remote is wireless so that you can fly it standing at one place.

Parts of Remote Control Helicopter :
Many parts are seen inside the remote control helicopter, with the help of which the remote control helicopter is prepared and works. The parts name of Remote Control Helicopter are as follows :
- Motor :
A total of three motors are seen inside the remote control helicopter, out of which one motor is installed at the rear and two motors are installed at the middle side of the RC helicopter. There are two types of motors out of which one motor is DC motor while the other motor name is BLDC motor. DC motor is used inside the low cost RC helicopter whereas BLDC motor is used inside the expensive RC helicopter because the cost of BLDC motor is high but the speed is very fast. The BLDC motor is not fitted inside the low cost RC helicopter as the price is high.
- Receiver and controller :
Receiver is used to catch the signal from the remote and an antenna is installed on the front side of this receiver whose job is to catch the signal. Whereas to run which motor at what speed, it would have been the work of the controller which has been connected with the receiver itself.
- Remote :
The work of the remote is to send a signal and how much the RC helicopter has to be raised, lowered, whether to turn right or turn left, all this work is done by the RC helicopter but only the remote will give it the signal. On pressing the button on the remote, the signal comes out with the help of antenna of the remote and the RC helicopter catches this signal. By the way, the remote is made of plastic and the remotes provided with expensive RC helicopters are smart because either a separate display is provided with that remote or you can also connect a smartphone so that the RC helicopter is compatible with The video of the camera can be seen in your smartphone. No such option is found in low cost RC helicopters.
- Battery :
Batteries are used inside the remote and RC helicopter. But the battery used inside the RC helicopter is of two types, one of which is named Lipo Battery and the other battery is named Lion Battery. Both types of batteries are used inside RC helicopters but most of them Lion batteries are used when the cost of RC helicopter is to be kept to a minimum. Whereas Lipo Battery is used inside RC Helicopter when light in weight is to be made RC Helicopter because Lion Battery weighs more while Lipo Battery is lighter in weight. While the cell is also used inside some remotes.
- Propeller :
Propeller is also called on which is connected with different shafts i.e. two propellers are seen. Apart from this, the third propeller is much smaller in size, which is attached to the motor at the rear as in the RC helicopter. The propellers are made of plastic and metal and this plastic is very hard and the metal is very light in weight. Whereas the most expensive RC helicopter's propellers are also made of rubber instead of plastic so that the propeller does not break and it does not hurt.
- Shaft :
The middle shaft of an RC helicopter is visible while there are two of which one shaft is visible on the outside while the other shaft is inside the same shaft which is connected to separate propellers because both the motors installed in the middle That's why it spins in different directions.
- Body :
The body of a low-cost RC helicopter is made of plastic while the body of an expensive RC helicopter is made of metal. Whereas the metal body is very light in weight. Space is left in the middle of the body so that the motor inside it can be ventilated and the temperature inside does not get too hot.
- Charger :
A separate charger is also provided to charge the battery of the RC helicopter. But you must only keep in mind that the charger that comes with RC helicopter is a simple charger which will take more time to charge the battery i.e. fast charger is not provided together.
How RC Helicopter Works :
Take a look at the interior design of the remote control helicopter, in which you can see that another shaft has been installed inside the middle shaft. Out of which one shaft is fitted with a propeller while the other shaft is mounted separately with b propeller. Different shafts are fitted with different propellers because both the propellers rotate in different directions as the motor rotates in different directions hence. If the a motor rotates to the right then the b motor will rotate to the left so that one propeller will rotate to the right while the other propeller will rotate to the left so that the body of the RC helicopter remains on one side i.e. the helicopter does not rotate.

Remote control helicopter working diagram |
If both the propellers rotate to the left, then the force will also fall to the left, due to which the bopy of the RC helicopter will also rotate to the right and will continue to rotate at high speed. To ensure that the body of the RC helicopter remains at the same place, both the propellers rotate in different directions, due to which the body of the RC helicopter remains at the same place.
As soon as a button is pressed on the remote controller, the signal is emitted by the remote control and the RC helicopter catches this signal and it is the receiver's job to catch the signal. After this the controller controls the speed of the motor after catching the signal so that the RC helicopter can fly in the air.
To move the RC helicopter forward and backward, only the motor at the rear is used. If the rear-mounted motor spins fast, the RC helicopter will move backwards. If the rear motor rotates in the opposite direction then the RC helicopter will move forward. That is, to move the RC helicopter forward and backward, only the motor at the back is useful.
To fly up, to turn right or left, only the motor in the middle works. Different current is given to both the motors so that the speed of both the motors can be increased or decreased separately. If the RC helicopter is to be turned on the right side, then the speed of a motor has to be reduced while the speed of b motor has to be increased slightly. b Due to the high speed of the motor, the propeller also starts rotating faster, due to which the force falls more on the left side and its effect directly on the body of the RC helicopter, due to which the RC helicopter turns to the left. If the RC helicopter is to be diverted to the left, then the speed of a motor has to be increased while the speed of b motor has to be reduced slightly. When the speed of a motor is increased, the speed of a propeller increases due to which the force is more on the right side and its effect directly on the body of the RC helicopter, due to which the RC helicopter also rotates to the right. What I mean to say is that to turn the RC helicopter to the right or to the left, more force or force is given to the right or left side, so that the RC helicopter can move to the right or left. To give more force or force on one side, the speed of one motor is reduced while the speed of the other motor is increased slightly.
- Examples :
If you stand with a big fan in your hand, then as soon as the fan rotates to the left, the force will also fall on the left side, due to which your hand will move a little to the left because the force of the fan is falling in your hand.
- Important Notice :
The motor inside the low cost remote control helicopter and the larger size remote control helicopter is taken for a different purpose. As with larger size RC helicopters, the rear motor is used to rotate the body to the left or to the right to keep the body standing in one place. Whereas a motor mounted on the middle is used to turn the propeller so as to move the RC helicopter back and forth or up and down and the other motor is used to fly the RC helicopter. We have mentioned above about the low cost RC helicopter in which the rear motor works to move the RC helicopter back and forth while both the motors in the middle work to move the RC helicopter up-down and right-left. . What I mean to say is that all the three motors inside the low cost and high priced RC helicopters are used differently.
Why propellers of remote control helicopters longer in size?
The longer the propeller is in size, the better the balance will be seen and does not deteriorate quickly. If the propeller of the remote control helicopter is shortened, then the remote control helicopter will move quickly, it will fly fast but will not be able to lift much weight and only if there is a slight loss of balance, the balance of the RC helicopter will be completely disturbed. Goes. Putting a long propeller in an RC helicopter does not completely disturb the balance of the RC helicopter even if the balance is slightly disturbed because the balance is always on the last side of the propeller.
Use of RC Helicopter :
Remote control helicopters are used only for entertainment. Whereas a large sized RC helicopter is used to build the project. Projects that are given to make in college. Apart from this, Remote Control Helicopter is not used for video shooting because it is better than Remote Control Drone because the size of the drone is considered to be more stable even though it is very small. Because of which remote control helicopters are being used in very small quantities in today's time. If we talk about helicopter without remote control, then it is used a lot to transport humans from one place to another.
Advantages of RC Helicopter:
- The cost of Remote Control Helicopter is less than RC Drone.
Drawbacks of Remote Control Helicopter :
- The propellers of remote control helicopters are very large in size, making it very difficult to fly in the tongue space.
- Remote control helicopters are less stable than RC drones.
- For video shooting, RC drones are used instead of RC helicopters.
